Blake Boucher is a frontend developer at Walker Sands.

As a frontend developer, Blake's role is centered around building unique websites powered by the WordPress platform or other content management systems. Continuously collaborating with a full team of designers, content writers, and SEO analysts, he works on projects involving custom WordPress themes, interactive marketing pieces, and responsive web design to name a few.

Before joining Walker Sands, Blake held several positions with different frontend focuses. Starting as a WordPress developer, he moved to workflow creation/maintenance, before returning (briefly) to his creative technologist roots with interactive applications. He now holds a Senior Front End Developer position here at Walker Sands.

Blake graduated from Ball State University in Muncie, IN with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. After spending a year working for the school as a Human Computer Interface Electronics Designer, he decided to change his career focus to Web Development and moved to Chicago.

Q&A:

Favorite book: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. A little obvious but it's one of the few book series that has made me laugh out loud.

Favorite place in Chicago: Logan Theatre. There's something incredibly cozy about it.

Coffee or popcorn: Having grown up in the self-proclaimed popcorn capital of the world, I can say without hesitation that I am tired of popcorn.

People wouldn't know: I've played piano since I was five, and it was my primary instrument while studying Music Technology at Ball State.

Where I would live: I have embarrassingly limited travel experience, so I'm not sure. Bay Area seems nice.
