When it comes to B2B sales and marketing, social media has changed everything. Yet, many organizations are behind the eight ball on getting their social media strategy, tactical plans and in-house social infrastructure in order.
For firms that do not want to be surprised years from now by lost market share that resulted because they failed to invest early enough in Social, we provide a comprehensive set of services around Social Strategy. These services are also highly relevant for organizations that are aggressively pursuing Social but are looking for a fresh set of eyes to see if there may be opportunities to elevate their Social game to a higher level.
What We Do For You
- Social Audit -- Our Social Audit evaluates your existing social media assets and activities to see: 1) how well they are supporting organizational goals; 2) how they rank against social marketing best practices; and 3) how they rank against the social programs of your peers and your competitors. This exercise provides a gap analysis that allows us to prioritize our recommendations so we can create a thoughtful strategic social roadmap for your organization.
- Social Strategy Development -- Based on the Social Audit and our understanding of your organizational goals, we develop a detailed Social Strategy that defines the key goals for your social media plan. For each strategic goal, we explain how the goal aligns with: your business plan; your messaging platform; your content marketing program; and your marketing plan goals. This ensures that social activities are a means to a strategic end, eliminating a common defect in many enterprise social programs in which social activities are executed in a silo that is not connected to other marketing programs.
- Social Tactical Plan -- The Social Tactical Plan outlines go-forward social tactical activities in support of the Social Strategy. This plan defines what will be done, when it will be done, how success will be measured and how much will be spent. In some cases, we build "if-then" pilots into the plan. For example, the plan may recommend a LinkedIn sponsored posts program for three months that is only continued if certain performance metrics are achieved. Our plans are specific enough to provide clarity on execution but flexible enough to ensure that winning tactics are accelerated and losing tactics are abandoned.
- Social Infrastructure Plan -- People, processes and tools are critically important to any well-executed social strategy. As we develop the Social Audit, Social Strategy and Social Tactical Plan, we look to see how in-house resources can be organized and mobilized to support your social program. We look at what training may be necessary. We look at what tools you may need to invest in to support your social objectives. We look at what social processes, QA safeguards, and social policies may need to be put in place for the organization. All of this analysis, along with our recommendations, are then provided to you via a Social Infrastructure Plan.
